	René Muré Crémant d'Alsace Brut: Wine Enthusiast: "This medium-bodied sparkling wine boasts some real intensity to its spiced pear and apple aromas and flavors. It’s soft in texture, with a creaminess in the mouth that makes it especially appealing and a fruit-driven finish." “Crémant” designates bubbly wine from France made outside the Champagne area, but that employ the same methods: “méthode traditionnelle” The Alsace region of France has the necessary cool climate to grow high-acid grapes required to produce good sparkling wine. The Muré family have been making wine in the Côte de Rouffach since 1648,  passing along the traditional methods from father to son and daughter for twelve generations. This Crémant d’Alsace is a blend of Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Auxerrois. Grown in clay and limestone soils, the vines average 20 years old. Their Crémant Brut is kept a minimum of 18 months sur-lattes before disgorging, ensuring a sparkling wine with both weight and acidity. A very fine mousse persists in the glass with notes of vanilla and pure fruit flavors in the nose. Round and easy to drink, the René Muré Crémant finishes fresh with nice length.
	2009 Domaine Sainte Eugénie Corbières Rosé: Domaine Sainte Eugénie is positioned within the district of Fontfroide, the sweet spot of Corbières, with an 800-year history of viticulture. The estate is located within the foothills of the Pyrénées along the Mediterranean coast. Clay and chalk soils dominate here. The dry weather, sunny and warm climate combine to create an optimal growing environment. The Rosé is a blend of 75% Cinsault, 15% Syrah and 10% Grenache. The result is a wonderful, bright Rosé displaying fresh raspberry notes with a slight touch of mineral and dried herbs with a dry finish. Rosé is the French word for “pink.” Rosés can be produced from just about any red grape; the skins are removed early in the winemaking process, resulting in a light pink color. The wines have flavors of strawberry, raspberry, cherry and even plum, with some spice, a light complexity of flavors and a balance of acidity that works very well with food.
	2007 La Font du Vent Côtes du Rhône Villages "Notre Passion": 88 Pts. Wine Spectator: "A nice pure beam of raspberry and red cherry fruit is supported by cocoa powder and graphite notes. The fresh, stylish finish has good underlying grip." Located on the western side of the Rhône River just below the appellation of Tavel, the vineyards of Domazan are classified as Côtes du Rhône Villages. Michel and Jean are really working these new vineyards, leaf-pulling, and crop-thinning to keep yields well below appellation’s limits. The hand-harvested fruit is handled with the same meticulous care as in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and is vinified in their gravity-fed winery in Bédarrides. An equal blend of Grenache and Syrah, Notre Passion is harvested at 35 hl/ha (the same required for Châteauneuf-du-Pape). A powerful and intense wine offering up thick, lush fruit and Provençal spice notes, Notre Passion is more like a baby Châteauneuf-du-Pape than Côtes du Rhône Villages.
